Peak Performer Charity Event 2023.

This year's charity event took place from 2 - 4 July in the Hochkönig region, Maria Alm. Top athletes and top managers from business and sport came together in an uncomplicated and personal atmosphere. In addition to a sporting social programme, the focus of this event was on networking.

The sponsor of this year's Peak Performer Meeting was Dominik Klein, former German handball player and part of the 2007 World Champion Team:

Dominik Klein, born 16 December 1983 in Miltenberg, is one of the most famous former German handball players and was part of the 2007 World Champion Team.
Dominik Klein started his handball career with TUSPO Oberburg, grew up in the handball region on the Bavarian Lower Main, then moved via the former champions TV Großwallstadt to THW Kiel, where he played the most successful period in the club's history from 2006 to 2016.

  • 8 × German Champion
  • 6 × DHB Cup winner
  • 3 × Champions League winner

It all started when he won the Handball World Championship in 2007 - where he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf, among other prizes.

At the end of his career, Dominik Klein was once again cup winner with the French club HBC Nantes (2017) and was able to crown his last game of professional existence with a final appearance at the Final4 of the Champions League in Cologne (2018).

Since then, he has been strongly committed to youth work and is considered an "energiser" for handball in Bavaria. He does grassroots work for the Bavarian Handball Association as managing director of Marketing GmbH and founder of the non-profit GmbH Handballcampus München, which aims to inspire children to exercise more. As an ARD expert, he nevertheless stays close to the peak performers of handball when the national team is broadcast on television during major events. He will also accompany the EURO 2024 in his own country as an ambassador for Munich, where two group phases will be played in the Olympic Hall from 11 to 16 January.

On the occasion of the charity event, the proud sum of 111,111 euros was collected, which will be used exclusively for the organisation and implementation of the Kids Camps. The foundation is committed to promoting the joy of achievement among children and young people.

It was a great pleasure to be on site again this year as a participant and supporter of Peak Performer.
