iGZ and BAP go´s GVP - merger of the employers' associations.
In June 2023, the members of both associations (iGZ Interessenverband Deutscher Zeitarbeitsunternehmen e.V. and BAP Bundesarbeitgeberverband der Personladienstleister) decided on a joint, strong industry representation.
A representation that in future will encompass the personnel services sector in all its diversity. A joint association that offers its members the services required by a rapidly changing corporate world.
The merger will create the "Gesamtverband der Personaldienstleister e. V." (GVP), one of the largest employers' associations in Germany.
The GVP will represent about 6,000 member companies and, together with the DGB trade unions, organise the working and social conditions for about 800,000 temporary workers.
The merger will not affect existing employer memberships or the applicability of collective agreements. Everything remains unchanged for the time being.
In the future, the aim is to establish a joint collective agreement in collective bargaining that replaces the existing collective agreements of the BAP and the iGZ, but this will take some time.
The coming months will be dynamic, powerful and forward-looking for the future federation.
